Jennette McCurdy kicks off her "Generation Love" mall tour

At the last minute, Ronin and I decided to drive to the Cool Springs Galleria to see our favorite country music artist and "iCarly" star, Jennette McCurdy. She was in Nashville last night to kick off her "Generation Love" mall tour. All of the proceeds from each of these appearances goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

For ten dollars, we got a cd single of her two new songs (which are GREAT I must say) and a photo and a wrist band which allowed us to stand in line for an autograph.

While Jennette performed the two songs from her new single, we got a chance to visit with the Chemo Duck and the family (including Gabe himself) behind Chemo Duck.
Remember, we have a Chemo Duck.
We also got a chance to grab a hug from Jennette's manager.
They are super excited about the mall tour.
I think it's very old school. Reminds me of Tiffany.

Ronin was on top of the world because Jennette remembered her and chatted with us for a few moments. I had a chance to ask her about her mom's current battle with cancer.
Please remember to keep Debbie McCurdy in your prayers while she tries a new chemo.

Striking a pose with the fun display!

I paid $2.50 for a chocolate peanut butter cup.

We recently checked out a book about Jennette McCurdy from the libary. We read it last week. The book talked about how when Jennette was three and her mom was battling cancer for the first time, she spent a lot of time watching movies with her brothers. Particularly Star Wars. It was all of the Star Wars that eventually inspired Jennette to become an actor. I believe it was the trials with cancer that she had to endure from such an early age that eventually inspired her to give back. To go above and beyond for children with cancer.

Thank you, again, Jennette, for your kindness and generosity. We appreciate you and we look forward to seeing all of the amazing things God has in store for you.
