For those of you who are closest to us, you may already know about Hunter's fear of "Star Wars". I'm still not sure what the problem was but just the mention of it really upset him. It seemed to have something to do with the fact that his best friends were into "Star Wars" and not so much "Wall-E" and they had the "Star Wars" thing in common with one another which made him feel left out. No matter the reason, it was a serious issue and it made little sense to me that the child should miss out 0n something that he undoubtedly would love if he'd just give it a chance. I mean, outer space and robots. It's right up his alley, ya know? The conversion began when his grandparents got us the "Star Wars" Lego game for Wii. He started watching his dad play the game and seemed to be warming up to the idea of maybe watching the movies. One day he announced that he liked "Star Wars". So his dad got out as many of the toys that he could find that had been packed away and then that evening they watched the movie.
He's not exactly obsessed but he's comfortable with "Star Wars" and at least knows what his friends are talking about when they are playing together. He seems more confident when he's with his friends. I'm so glad that this one simple thing seems to have changed him so dramatically.
