Ta Dah! It's another.....

The color of the organic baby clothing that we bought for baby Indy today should tell ya!
(Two Bucks a piece on clearance at J.C. Penny. Weeee! They read, "Going Veggie", "Tree Hugger" and "Mr. Environmental".)

So, it's a BOY!!! Baby Indigo Blade (and I'm shooting for Amadeus right here) Jones.

In the ultrasound, he gave us a thumb's up and he had his mouth open too. Plus, he grabbed his legs and pulled them towards his head.)

I had no idea how much I wanted this baby to be a boy. But when the technician pointed out that there was a penis, I burst into tears. I know that the Captain is happy. The boy is not complaining much either. Donut seems to be in denial but I'm sure she'll get over it.

Thanks to Kara, my doula, and Daphne, my midwife, for joining us during this wonderful, special time (and for taking photos, Kara)! It was great to have you girls there!

  4. So very very sweet.Congratulations. Waiting on God and trusting Him is a big thing, and learning to pray for everything is a really big step. My kids stop and pray about EVERYTHING--lost a penny, pray, need something, pray. :)

I'm incredibly happy for you! It's always fun and exciting to see what the gender is, but even more so just to know that everything is ok and developing wonderfully.

  10. Thanks Guys!!!

Elizabeth- We will call him Indy.

Rae- Of course! I thought that today actually!

So, you guys actually like Blade? We're getting a lot of negative feedback about that name and we're thinking of picking something else.

  11. Congratulations! That's so exciting. I totally want my next kid to be a girl, but I'm sure if it's a boy I'll be happy with it too. I just want Rosemary to have a sister close to her in age ... and since there will already be *at least* 3.5 years between Rosemary and her next sibling, I figure it would be nice if baby #2 was a girl.

  13. I was thinking boy when I saw one of the pics of you on FB. Your belly is just starting to show, and at 17 weeks. Lucky you! :) I started showing with #3 at 12. But you are carrying all in front so far. Dead-giveaway that it was a boy. :) Congratulations!

  14. Isn't that Precious.
I think that is a crazy unusual name. But its your baby and think you should do what you think is best for your baby.
